DECA's 2024 Sports and Entertainment Marketing Conference was one for the books! With over 1,100 members in attendance, this conference has set a precedent for a year full of experiencing DECA's difference in preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs.
The conference took place over two days, where eight sports and entertainment marketing professionals shared their knowledge and career insights with our members. From an emphasis on finding your career path through applying for internships specific to your vision to explaining how to use these internships to network toward your career goals, our speakers shared their advice to get started.
Our speakers included representatives from Universal Orlando Resort, the Orlando Magic, USA Track and Field, Electronic Arts and Jordan Brand. These speakers shared meaningful insights into their fields and career journeys. From discussing how they deal with conflict within their teams to specific questions about marketing campaigns they worked on, our members had the chance to ask our speakers their burning questions.
Following the presentations, members headed off to experience all that Orlando has to offer by taking in the magic at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™, creating magical memories at Walt Disney World® Resort, competing in a GooseChase digital scavenger hunt and soaking in the beautiful weather.
This conference is just the beginning of our incredible members making the most of the opportunities accessible through DECA. With association conference season kicking around the corner, we know our members will continue to grow their skills and develop the best versions of themselves. Hopefully, they will join us again shortly at ICDC in Anaheim, California!
