The Ultimate DECA Power Trip was held in November during DECA Month! From November 19-21, members and advisors had the chance to visit the “City of Champions”—Boston, MA!
Members could maximize their momentum by participating in leadership and learning labs, exploring career, college and company exhibits, and competing in a role-play to earn the title of “Ultimate Competitor.”
During the Opening Session, keynote speaker Eddie Slowikowski’s excitement boosted all 1,400 attendees as he shared his expertise and fantastic anecdotes. He put on an incredible performance that brought everyone in the room together as One DECA to sing and dance to “All Too Well” by Taylor Swift! He encouraged us to strive to be the greatest versions of ourselves. Following that, members attended Connect Leadership Labs hosted by the executive and association officers.
Day two was action-packed with educational and networking opportunities! Members were able to visit exhibits, Shop DECA and attend six rounds of learning labs. The sessions equipped members to return to their associations and chapters to run for leadership roles and share what they learned. Later in the day, members had the opportunity to network and engage with other members at King’s Dining and Entertainment, a Boston Celtics game at TD Garden, and the DECA After Dark hypnotist show.
Attendees were brimming with enthusiasm on the final day of the Ultimate DECA Power Trip! The crowd erupted when the top performers from the Competitive Excellence Experience were revealed. Attendees had the opportunity to establish themselves as the Ultimate DECA members and earn a prize. Hoan Do, a DECA alumnus and city finalist on NBC’s American Ninja Warrior delivered an exciting keynote.
I hope that all attendees take advantage of their experience to Maximize their Momentum when they return home!
