Be The One with the Collegiate DECA Leadership Passport Program

Aug 6, 2024

Apply by February 15, 2025

Are you ready for a new year in Collegiate DECA? Be The One to earn recognition through the Leadership Passport Program.

The Leadership Passport Program encourages individual members, chapters and associations to plan activities and participate in events that enhance the experiences of members. The program rewards actions that build personal and professional skill sets focused around helping members be academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible and experienced leaders. Participating is a great way to showcase your professional growth.

Check out these tips to help you get started:

1. Plan Early

The passport program is designed to be implemented throughout the entire year. Members, chapters and associations will likely complete much of the criteria throughout the school year. Trying to complete everything a week or two before the due date is challenging and often impossible. Review the guidelines and criteria and set goals. The school year gets busy, so plan when specific tasks will be addressed at the beginning of the school year to ensure you complete the requirements. You will find that many of the tasks overlap with what you are already doing in your chapter.

2. Document Your Progress

It is difficult to remember everything you did when submitting a passport application. Collegiate DECA members are busy and remembering every DECA-related activity can be challenging. Document when activities were completed and keep photographs to review when submitting your application.

3. Submit Your Application

All Leadership Passport Program applications are due by February 15, 2025. View the guidelines and learn more about all three programs.

Members, chapters and associations earning the various levels of passport success will receive a certificate and be recognized on DECA Direct Online and at the International Career Development Conference.
