DECA's 2019 Advocacy Campaign Recipients

Mar 18, 2019

February was Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, leading many DECA chapters to raise their voices in their schools, communities and associations to advocate on behalf of DECA and CTE through completing DECA’s Advocacy Campaign.

Connecting with public policy members at various levels, speaking in front of middle school students, running booths at parent events and creating proclamations supporting CTE are a few of the many activities performed by DECA members to complete this campaign and share all about DECA.

While it may seem intimidating to speak with government officials and other important members of the community, this year, DECA members were not shy in voicing why DECA and CTE are beneficial not only to students, but to the community at large.

We thank you for sharing your stories following the activities in celebration of CTE month this past February, and for your support of all the emerging leaders that DECA impacts every year.

Congratulations to this year’s Advocacy Campaign recipients! See the full list here.
