The Western Region is thrilled to welcome Western Region DECA members to the Pacific Northwest for the 2024 Western Region Leadership Conference in Bellevue, Washington. Members are encouraged to take this opportunity to reach infinity and beyond, pushing limits and fostering personal growth.
With less than 60 days left, here’s a sneak peek at the highlights:
Industry Opportunities
With nearly 50 workshops in leadership, competition, technology, sports and hospitality, entrepreneurship, and finance, students will learn from industry experts. Speakers will be from companies such as Adobe, Boeing, Alaska Airlines, Starbucks, JP Morgan, the Seattle Kraken and the Seattle Sounders!
Role-play and Testing Competition
Members are invited to the WR Competition Invitational, where students compete for awards in three different DECA events!
First-time competitors will be offered a role-play in DECA’s newest competitive event: Principles of Entrepreneurship. Experienced competitors will participate in a Marketing Communications role-play. All members can register for the DECA testing competition, where you’ll be provided a DECA test.
And last, mock job interviews featuring a job in the hospitality industry will be available for registration. DECA truly prepares you for college AND careers!
Certification Lab
With certification opportunities in the areas of Microsoft Suite, project management and tech, you can grow your resume while at WRLC.
Association Officer and Chartered Association Advisor Reception
Both state officers and their association advisors are invited to a short reception of networking and the newest DECA updates!
Tours
Register and experience the conference tours offered on November 7th. Whether you plan on attending WICKED: the Musical, roaming around Pike Place and the Seattle Waterfront or learning more about technology or the hospitality industry, there’s truly something for every member!
