The season of love has arrived! February is the month to cherish your loved ones and let them know how much you appreciate them.
Here are three ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your DECA chapter!
1. Cookie Grams
Does your chapter have a School-based Enterprise selling Otis Spunkmeyer cookies? If so, sell some Cookie Grams! Students can purchase a cookie to be sent to their friend, role-play partner, significant other or any of their classmates.
How to get started:
- Create a promotional campaign to reach all students at your school
- Design eye-catching cookie gram cards for students to write their notes
- Develop a plan for how you will deliver the cookies
2. Roses for Loved Ones
Host an event for your DECA members to write cards to senior citizens, teachers, healthcare workers or any group of people you want to support. Have your members remind them that they are loved and appreciated. Then, decorate the cards and deliver them along with roses.
How to get started:
- Create a promotional campaign to advertise the event
- Contact local florists for fresh roses on the day of delivery
- Develop sample cards/templates for members
3. Valentine’s Day Party
Gather together with your DECA chapter and celebrate! This event can include fun games, trivia and competitions. You can have DECA members bring delicious snacks and even Valentine’s Day cards to pass around.
How to get started:
- Book a venue or location in your school to host the event
- Decorate with fun Valentine’s Day-themed decor
- Brainstorm games to play and prizes to give out to members (DECA merch is always a favorite!)
These are just a few ways to celebrate the season of love with your DECA chapter! Post your creative events on Instagram and tag @decainc and your executive officers!
