Collegiate DECA members are always excited to #GoTheExtra with anything they do. To recognize the amazing work of our members, the Collegiate DECA Executive Officer Team started the Member of the Month initiative.
Each Member of the Month demonstrates DECA's brand and guiding principles of preparing members to be academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible and experienced leaders. We’re all so proud of you and everything you do!
Congratulations to the following members:
November
Rhiannon Nelson | Minnesota State University, MN

It’s with great pleasure that we recognize Rhiannon Nelson of Minnesota State University of Moorhead as the November Collegiate DECA Member of the Month. Her positivity and persistent optimism toward her work in DECA are a great asset to our organization and her chapter.
DECA members are goal-oriented, team players, and community-oriented individuals who uplift others and help motivate those around them. Rhiannon is the perfect example of this, as she consistently shows warmth and attentiveness while creating a space where others feel welcome and supported. Rhiannon is a living example of how positive Hospitality and fostering an environment where others want to thrive and grow can lead to healthy team dynamics. We’re proud of all the work Rhiannon has showcased while in DECA and look forward to all she achieves in the future!
October
Peyton Wormer | Notre Dame University, IN

Peyton Wormer, a member from Notre Dame University in Indiana, has been recognized as October’s Collegiate DECA Member of the Month for his exemplary leadership qualities and dedication toward the organization.
Even though this is Peyton’s first year in Collegiate DECA and at Notre Dame University, he has quickly shown that a leader in our organization is not defined by his or her age, but by their efforts toward helping others. Serving as one of the Indiana Collegiate DECA Vice Presidents, Peyton has helped to grow his association within its first year by reaching out to college campuses, helping to plan conferences and helping in any way possible.
