Rebrand the Insurance Industry with an Innovative Marketing Campaign for Invest Challenge

Develop a new and innovative marketing campaign to creatively rebrand the insurance industry to Gen Z. Use your creativity to brand insurance career opportunities in a dynamic way to help insurance companies/agencies recruit young talent. Each event will be composed of one to three DECA members from a chapter. Participants will present their campaign in a 3-5 minute long video.

Recognition

The top three teams will be recognized on DECA Direct Online and on stage during DECA’s International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando, FL.

  • First Place: $1,500 cash prize, featured on Invest’s Hall of Fame web page and on Invest and Invest company partner social media platforms, and each winner interested in pursuing an insurance career will also be eligible for an Invest classroom to career scholarship.
  • Second Place: $1,000 cash prize, featured on Invest’s Hall of Fame web page and on Invest and Invest company partner social media platforms, and each winner interested in pursuing an insurance career will also be eligible for an Invest classroom to career scholarship.
  • Third Place: $500 cash prize, featured on Invest’s Hall of Fame web page and on Invest and Invest company partner social media platforms, and each winner interested in pursuing an insurance career will also be eligible for an Invest classroom to career scholarship.

Challenge Timeline

  • Challenge Begins: September 3, 2024
  • Challenge Submission Deadline: February 1, 2025
  • Top 3 Teams Announced: February 25, 2025
  • Top 3 Teams Travel to ICDC: April 26-29, 2025*

*Eligibility to attend DECA’s ICDC is determined by the chartered association advisor based on their rules and regulations. Finalists should consult with their chartered association advisor for eligibility guidelines and gain approval from their chapter advisor to attend the conference.
